Your CD Data Rescue does not work, since upon putting a CD-RW disk in the drive, the software recognizes it as a DVD & suggests installing DVD Data Rescue. I solved my problem by purchasing for £29.69p Isobuster, this was able to identify all the files on the unplayable disk & extract them back to the computer. Regards, Ray Emmerson.

Will not read CD-Rs

I felt ripped off once I had payed $19.95 for this product and it would not read my scratched CD-R, despite being called "CD" data rescue. I tried the trial version of DVD data rescue and although the process started it declared that the CD contained audio tracks only, this is complete rubbish as it fact is my photo back up disc, perhaps it was because it was saved using the awful "DirectCD" software. Thankfully I am able to do most of my work on Linux these days and I do not have to suffer the dishonesty of those thieving capitalist's who choose to jump on the Microsoft band wagon.
